Tips for Readable Text on Photos
- Contrast first — light text on dark areas, or dark text on light areas. If the background varies, add an outline.
- Outline strokes — a 2-4 px stroke in the opposite color makes text legible over busy backgrounds.
- Font choice — sans-serif fonts (Arial, Helvetica, Verdana) read clearly at any size. Reserve script and decorative fonts for short headlines.
- Don't crowd — leave breathing room between text and the subject of the photo.
Add Text — FAQ
Can I add multiple text layers?
Yes — click Add Text as many times as you need. Each layer is independent and can be moved, scaled, rotated, or deleted.
Can I edit a text layer after adding it?
Yes. Click the layer to select it, then change settings on the right and press Update Selected, or double-click the text directly on the canvas to type.
Are these fonts available on the final image?
The text is rasterized into pixels at export, so the fonts are baked in. You don't need anything installed for the downloaded image to look right.
